PAR has conducted many projects where the goal was to optimize the
product, eliminating marginally important features or attributes in
favor of more important ones. This process allows management to
include only those features that are really important to consumers while
minimizing production costs.
Many products are sold in multiple locations in the same store. Reducing
the number of locations - and the time required for extra handling - may
increase profit per unit. Some shelf space is more expensive than other
space (refrigerated versus warm shelf locations, for example). PAR has
conducted research in both of these areas to establish the optimal sales
locations to help our clients maximize their profits.
